I’ll introduce myself…

Let me introduce myself.
Hi.
I’m Aimee.

I’m not the type to introduce myself to people which is weird because I work in customer service and all day all I do is introduce myself to people.

I also like baking and taking pictures of what I bake.  Why?  I’m not really sure, but find something you’re passionate about, right?  Get those priorities in order…still pondering some life choices.  When people asked me about writing a blog I was really confused and would respond with “that would be the most boring blog ever”, but here we are.  I’m already confirming what I thought.  Is anyone still reading?

“What would I name it?  What would I write about?  I’m not that interesting. There’s nothing that hasn’t been said already.  I’m only good for one liners.  I’m neurotic.  What would make mine stand out?  I’m already buckling under imaginary pressure that I put myself under.”

So many things to overanalyze in such little time.  Let’s get totally in over our heads in 30 seconds.
How did I name it?

I didn’t.

Well, I did.  But, it was really inspired by goat milk.  I’m glad you asked.  A friendly dietician, which is another life irony, said I should name my future bakery “Aimee’s Bonne Bouche”.  I googled what that meant and the first thing that came up was the name of a Vermont creamery.  I didn’t realize it was an actual creamery business and only read “goat milk”.  I thought…”Goat Milk…what an odd name for a bakery.  I’ve never even bought goat milk.  Maybe it’s because she’s from Missouri.” I also remembered my extensive studies in the French language (ahem…Sophomore year of high school…) and thought for sure Bonne meant “good”.  But, hey, the French make everything sound fancy.  To make a long story short Bonne Bouche means “Tasty Bite” and not “goat milk”.

When creating this site that story was the first thing I thought of.  Bonne Bouche seemed too fancy for me and Goat Milk was…well, goat milk.  Let’s stick to some place in the middle…Tasty Bite it is.
