All that matters in life is being a good witness for Christ.  Everything else is vanity.  I’ve been reading Ecclesiastes over and over (which I believe God pointed it out on purpose at just the right time for my heart).  Just when you want to step out on your own… just when you start making your own plans … you read chapter 2.

“Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do: and behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.”-Ecclesiastes 2:11

As a Christian there is nothing more important than spending time with Him for its there you learn to rest and learn His character.

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  I want to let my light shine so that all they see is Jesus.  I never want that light to go out.  But, it can’t because I am sealed and I am His forever and ever and if I am sealed that means He will never leave me.  Not once.  It doesn’t matter how I feel about it because He is true.  His words and promises are true.  If He leaves then He isn’t who He says he is and my whole life is a lie.

You know what’s amazing?

At first you can’t stand yourself.

Then you’re afraid of ever being your old self again so you want to be unlike that.

Then you tell people what God did and how you used to be.

And one day you forget how you were because you’re too busy being who God made you to be … not focused on the past because it’s over.  Even while He is still making you it’s not to remember the former things.  It’s a new thing.  We are the new thing.

And that’s the best.  Deliverance.

It’s over.

The closer you get to Him the more layers you shed … we are continually being shaped by the potter.  We are always going to be molded into His image and refined until we take our last breath and enter into our new bodies and are in presence of glory with Him forever and ever.

“AND WHATSOEVER YE DO, DO IT HEARTILY, AS TO THE LORD, AND NOT UNTO MEN; KNOWING THAT OF THE LORD YE SHALL RECEIVE THE REWARD OF THE INHERITANCE: FOR YE SERVE THE LORD CHRIST JESUS.

BUT HE THAT DOETH WRONG SHALL RECEIVE FOR THE WRONG WHICH HE HATH DONE: AND THERE IS NO RESPECT OF PERSONS.” – COLOSSIANS 3:23-25
