
A short story:
There has been a problem recently where supplies are going missing at school. It is subtle, but the cleaning supplies I knew were in the cabinet are now gone along with a few other things. This has been happening over time in the entire building, but hard to prove.
It is hard to prove unless we set up cameras. I was told to make a sign to put on our cabinets diplomatically stating not to open cabinets. For example, “School Personnel Only” or something…
This is going on while I also feel like my Christian witness is diminishing. I do not talk much at work in general because I feel so out of place, whether skill-wise or spiritual-wise. All of this to say, I made the sign to hang up, and could not come up with something that wasn’t pointing out the elephant in the room.
Stop taking things that aren’t yours?? It is an easy concept.
What sounds like a valid thing to say while cutting straight to the heart of the matter?
