Truck stop identifies as Las Vegas

The video above: We stopped at a Pilot truck stop and I was intrigued by the quarter machine. I spent $1.50 trying to figure out how this machine worked and decided the pile of quarters is glued down to look as if it’s all about to fall down making you a winner.

During training, we had a delivery outside of Las Vegas and we spent the night at a truck stop. Ryan got us an Uber and we became tourists for the few hours we were there. It was the first time I had ever been and was completely overstimulated the whole time. I’d need to write a blog post on Las Vegas alone, but my cousin joked and said “with your personality I can only imagine you in Las Vegas”. I said, “the way you are imagining it is the way it happened”. I walked around with big eyes and totally confused at the materialism and bright lights. Ryan gave me $6 to “gamble” and I got convicted over it and said I can’t do it anymore. It’s hilarious, but I knew the system was rigged and didn’t want any part of it. I looked around and could not believe the amount of money people were spending there for a vacation and the fact that they were gambling their life savings. The video above was from a Pilot this week and below are some photos from Vegas. 10/10 would go back for fajitas at Gonzalez y Gonzalez in New York New York with that handsome husband of mine.

If you or someone you know has a gambling problem call Jesus and then Dave Ramsey.

At the same…

Seasons in the Semi

Because of my scattered brain, I have at least three blogs going at once. I started with my favorite places to drive, which led to a focused post solely on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the fall and a reflection of Ecclesiastes: to everything there is a season. Which one will I post first? Will I…

romanticize your life

What a week. So much could be said about the state of the world and the horrific events that have occurred in our country alone. The absolute evil that exists and the cheering alongside of it can be debilitating. Most of America and I have felt so much sadness this past week. I mourned a…
