You know when you just need to say how thankful you are?

We should be rejoicing always, but it seems the complaints are much easier to shout out.

Not today.  The last few weeks have been peaceful which is new for me, but God is so good and faithful while I am learning to let go.  I have a peace beyond all understanding. I understand why He says to meditate on His word day and night…because He is our peace in this messy world we live in.  His words are hope.  He is everything and the only thing that will satisfy.  When we put down our pride and remember that we need Him EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY and when His word radiates through our hearts and minds we will know peace because we know Him.

I am so thankful and not just because it’s November and Thanksgiving is next week.  No, I am thankful just because.  I am thankful to be thankful.  For so long I overanalyzed everything and could only look at the things that didn’t work out and circumstances I am in.  That’s a long hard life in that case isn’t it because life is filled with circumstances.

But, I am thankful for things that didn’t work out because it drew me closer to Jesus.  I am thankful for the things that did work out because it drew me to Jesus.  I am thankful for friendships and memories and all the things God has blessed me with.

His gifts are always perfect and true.  It’s a beautiful life and the road ahead is filled with adventure.

“THEREFORE I SAY UNTO YOU, TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT YE SHALL EAT, OR WHAT YE SHALL DRINK; NOR YET FOR YOUR BODY, WHAT YE SHALL PUT ON. IS NOT THE LIFE MORE THAN MEAT, AND THE BODY THAN RAIMENT?

WHICH OF YOU BY TAKING THOUGHT CAN ADD ONE CUBIT UNTO HIS STATURE?  AND WHY TAKE YE THOUGHT FOR RAIMENT? CONSIDER THE LILIES OF THE FIELD, HOW THEY GROW; THEY TOIL NOT, NEITHER DO THEY SPIN: AND YET I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT EVEN SOLOMON IN ALL HIS GLORY WAS NOT ARRAYED LIKE ONE OF THESE.

WHEREFORE, IF GOD SO CLOTHE THE GRASS OF THE FIELD, WHICH TO DAY IS, AND TO MORROW IS CAST INTO THE OVEN, SHALL HE NOT MUCH MORE CLOTHE YOU, O YE OF LITTLE FAITH.  THEREFORE TAKE NO THOUGHT, SAYING, WHAT SHALL WE EAT? OR, WHAT SHALL WE DRINK? OR, WHEREWITHAL SHALL WE BE CLOTHED?  (FOR AFTER ALL THESE THINGS DO THE GENTILES SEEK:) FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWETH THAT YE HAVE NEED OF ALL THESE THINGS.

BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.  TAKE THEREFORE NO THOUGHT FOR THE MORROW: FOR THE MORROW SHALL TAKE THOUGHT FOR THE THINGS OF ITSELF. SUFFICIENT UNTO THE DAY IS THE EVIL THEREOF.” – MATTHEW 6:25-34
