And then there was “light” by the “Power” of God… with Faith as a mustard seed…

This is my second post this morning following New Year Revolution.

This is a quick story that delights me.  It’s gonna be a good year filled with so many God stories…
Yesterday we had half day at work due to the holiday.  (Rewind to the week before, Christmas Eve, with the same holiday schedule where I worked by myself and WHY DO BAD THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN.)  There isn’t always chaos at work, but when there is it’s a holiday with hardly any staff and I’m alone. 😛

I won’t get into the trauma of Christmas Eve, but I had a difficult customer 10 minutes before my shift ended, but this picture sums it up… I went home, stress ate pretzels, and tucked my shirt in my pants which was the most hysterical thing in the world and turned my day around…?

Next time you’re frazzled just tuck your shirt in your pants and pull them up.  Instant morale booster. 🙂

Yesterday, I get to work at 4:45 AM.  We open.  Things get settled.  My computer fried.

WHAT.  It was just the computer.  The monitor had power.  My phones were working.  The other computer was on.  WHAT.

My register drawer.  My emails.  It’s the computer I use, so I didn’t have anything set up on the other one.

I didn’t know what to do, but I texted my bosses AT 5 AM!!!! (Face palm!)

I finally was able to put in the maintenance and I.T. tickets on the other computer.

7 AM.  I texted my dad and his best friend:
“My computer at work fried… 5AM.  I tried unplugging and all the things.  So I can’t get in my register and since I’m always on this one I don’t have anything set up on the ‘check in’ computer and I.T. doesn’t open until 8.

I called my coworker to pray over it and she said she wouldn’t.  It’s hilarious and it’s not.

But, I remembered that time a long time ago when you said your A/C went out and you prayed over it and nothing happened and I think you hit it or kicked it and it came on.

That didn’t work for me. 😛

We close early today and are closed tomorrow.. don’t know chances of it being fixed.”

In this time passing and waiting for any signs of life and praying I don’t get fired and that the computer can miraculously come on I sat and did my job.  I called my coworker.  She’s a Christian (but she just didn’t pray for the computer).

I checked my email to get a reply that the ticket would be completed by January 7.  7 DAYS!!!!

An hour passes and I.T. comes by.  I was so excited when I saw him walk through the door.  I told him, “If you do all the things I did and the computer comes on I won’t even me upset.”  Ha!
“You’ll just be happy it’s fixed.”
“Yeah”

(You don’t know the amount of times I did EVERYTHING and I.T. comes by and does THE SAME THING and it works.)

The text update:

8:03 AM:
“I.T. CHANGED THE PLUG AND IT CAME ON.  I TOTALLY OVER REACTED AND WAS PRAISING GOD.  NEVER MET THIS MAN IN MY LIFE.”

LISTENNNNN!!!!!  I was screaming.  I was jumping up and down.  “DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD I PRAYED THIS MORNING?!?!?”

He changed the power cord, pressed the button, and when I saw that little light come on I COMPLETELY LOST MY MIND.

I called my coworker (while he was standing there) and while hysterically laughing said, “Ye of little faith!!!”

It was a hoot!  I’m pretty sure that man will never come back to my department ever again, but HE SAW A MIRACLE!

He smiled and said, “Won’t He do it”.

It’s the little things. 🙂

I prayed over the laptop of a friend once – she had called me and told me that the laptop had gone dead… she is an elderly lady and I helped her a little, now, I don’t live there anymore. But when I did, I met regularly with her and she was very caught up in her catholicity and I tried to evangelise her and help her see the truth (unfortunately to no avail).
What can I say, the laptop came back on as soon as I sat there and started praying in tongues over it… she knew it had been a miracle, but she still refused to let go of her idols… we thanked GOD together anyway 😁
Me, I pray for and over everything- and I mean everything!
I think it’s what HE wants us to do.
I really enjoyed this story, I enjoy reading how you live your faith.
Thank you for sharing and GOD bless you!

That’s an awesome story! Thanks for sharing. 😁
Yes I agree about praying about everything (without asking amiss). Before I was saved I would’ve thought that was so crazy… ha !
