Mark 11: Sometimes you’re the mountain that needs to be moved

For so long I stood on Mark 11 about faith can move mountains… you just need to speak it.

I prayed this way, that way, upside down, right side up for that mountain to move.

But, what if the mountain isn’t the circumstance and it’s actually you?

Have you ever prayed for God to heal you of whatever it is and then you have to do the STRANGEST THING in order to move forward? Maybe the mountain wasn’t the actual, physical thing you prayed for. Maybe it was the plank in your own eye that had to be removed. “No, that can’t be it. Please don’t make me do that.”

But, that WAS it. You had to face the mountain.

Sometimes, you are the thing that needs changing. Your heart is the change. Only God can do that.

“AND JESUS ANSWERING SAITH UNTO THEM, HAVE FAITH IN GOD.
FOR VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, BE THOU REMOVED, AND BE THOU CAST INTO THE SEA; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, BUT SHALL BELIEVE THAT THOSE THINGS WHICH HE SAITH SHALL COME TO PASS; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.

THEREFORE I SAY UNTO YOU, WHAT THINGS SOEVER YE DESIRE, WHEN YE PRAY, BELIEVE THAT YE RECEIVE THEM, AND YE SHALL HAVE THEM. AND WHEN YE STAND PRAYING, FORGIVE, IF YE HAVE OUGHT AGAINST ANY: THAT YOUR FATHER ALSO WHICH IS IN HEAVEN MAY FORGIVE YOU YOUR TRESPASSES. BUT IF YE DO NOT FORGIVE, NEITHER WILL YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN FORGIVE YOUR TRESPASSES.” – MARK 11:22-26

Forgive your enemies.  Pray for those who persecute you.

One day I may share the story, but for now I know I’ve seen an answered prayer.  It just didn’t happen the way I wanted it to.

Obedience > Sacrifice

We are just to sprinkle seeds and understand it is not our work, but God’s work.

The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still. ❤
