Unemployed Aimee made a YouTube Channel … and waffles

I’ve wanted a waffle maker for quite a while.

Ryan got me started on this Kodiak Cake brand of breakfast foods and bought a waffle maker at Walmart one weekend he was in town. Besides working on the cabinet, bringing lost Spanish women in my neighborhood to their destination, having a water day with Brent, and checking on Charles Stanley… I’ve also been making videos with my time off. I was hoping Ryan would be in town this weekend to make a cameo, but I don’t think he is.

Your work ethic is not your worth

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3 This job can be very stressful and challenging at times. At the same…

Seasons in the Semi

Because of my scattered brain, I have at least three blogs going at once. I started with my favorite places to drive, which led to a focused post solely on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the fall and a reflection of Ecclesiastes: to everything there is a season. Which one will I post first? Will I…

romanticize your life

What a week. So much could be said about the state of the world and the horrific events that have occurred in our country alone. The absolute evil that exists and the cheering alongside of it can be debilitating. Most of America and I have felt so much sadness this past week. I mourned a…

I couldn’t choose a door knob with the vast selection from Lowe’s and Hobby Lobby, so I chose happiness. 🙂

Also, the sunflower that’s been growing in my backyard from a seed that fell on the ground opened yesterday!

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”

Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
– Luke 11 KJV
