The King Cake Crisis of 2024

This is what happiness and the desires of the heart being fulfilled looks like. 😄For full context, watch the video below as well. We were on the way to a Texas delivery before our home time visiting Ryan’s family when he surprised me with a pit stop at home in New Orleans! (I will not be canceling the King Cake order being shipped to Texas. We just have two now 😂.).
How it started… a Louisianan married a Texan and tries explaining King Cake season while living on the road in a semi with no King Cakes in sight.
I haven’t been good with the words lately for my blog, but make silly videos on Instagram as life updates as of lately.

Your work ethic is not your worth

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3 This job can be very stressful and challenging at times. Seasons in the Semi

Because of my scattered brain, I have at least three blogs going at once. I started with my favorite places to drive, which led to a focused post solely on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the fall and a reflection of Ecclesiastes: to everything there is a season. Which one will I post first? Will I…

It’s basically a giant cinnamon roll with filling. Ha
Instead of cutting the cinnamon roll you just make it into a ring. I used to make them, but don’t have the time.

They’re sooo good and only come out during Mardi Gras season, so it’s a treat. I’m not a Mardi Gras fan, but do enjoy the king cake. Beware of internet recipes. I tried the Southern Living king cake recipe and it was too plain and pointless for me.

Yes! It’s great with coffee. I never buy them from the grocery store, but get them
From the local bakeries. I ordered one to be shipped to Texas before knowing we were going home.

My In laws never heard of it or eaten it before either, but I gained favor. 😄
