It’s Time to Put the Health of Our Children First — Intentional Faith

I am proud to be a teacher. I’ve worked in the Canadian public school system for the past 15 years, mostly at the high school level, teaching morals and ethics. I don’t claim to be a doctor or an expert in virology. There is a lot I don’t know. But I spend my days with […]

Your work ethic is not your worth

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3 This job can be very stressful and challenging at times. At the same…

Seasons in the Semi

Because of my scattered brain, I have at least three blogs going at once. I started with my favorite places to drive, which led to a focused post solely on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the fall and a reflection of Ecclesiastes: to everything there is a season. Which one will I post first? Will I…

romanticize your life

What a week. So much could be said about the state of the world and the horrific events that have occurred in our country alone. The absolute evil that exists and the cheering alongside of it can be debilitating. Most of America and I have felt so much sadness this past week. I mourned a…

I am learning to keep my eyes up. Looking on Jesus, reading His word, allowing His Spirit to guide me. When I look at what’s going on in the world I sink fast. The Apostle Paul warn that the last days will be perilous, Jesus warn about deception. We are encouraged knowing that soon our Lord will return for us, even if first we must endure many trials.
We must pray at all times and seek opportunities to proclaim the gospel.
Anything I can pray for you Aimee?
        Blessings Aimee.💕

A good read from someone on the inside who sees the cost and benefit of pandemic response up close. As a fellow teacher, I see some of the same things this brave lady talks about. Our kids are resilient , but not unbreakable. Thank you for sharing this, Aimee. God Bless!

I agree! I thought it was an incredible post. I have a small amount in experience in schools, but I can only imagine as I can see how it is changing adults and ME. What I do see is working with my infants. Babies live off of facial expressions and we have to wear the masks. They look confused a lot but when you lower the mask and smile at them they light up and their whole demeanor changes. They don’t know we have faces.

This is heartbreaking. And there’s a chance that they may never be the same again because they’ve already missed so many firsts and milestones which only stunts development. Thank you for addressing this, Aimee.
